O que é o lixo comum?

São os restos das atividades humanas considerados pelos consumidores como inúteis. Normalmente, apresentam-se sob estado sólido ou semi-líquido. É também o lixo que não pode ser reciclado.

Milhares de restos de plástico, pilhas usadas, embalagens de papel e latas de refrigerantes vazias que nós usamos são o problema de todo o mundo.
Há anos atrás o lixo não era um problema tão grande. Alimentos e objetos eram embalados em materiais naturais – folhas como a de bananeira e ocasionalmente jornais.


Cidades grandes e países desenvolvidos têm sistemas de recolha de lixo. Nas áreas rurais da maioria dos países isto geralmente não existe. Em qualquer lugar que as pessoas vão, elas tendem a deixar lixo atrás – até mesmo na lua!

O lixo comum é o conjunto dos “nossos restos” e vem do nosso dia-a-dia.
